Care for Permanent Make Up
EYELINER: Your eyes should only be swollen for about 1-3 hours, and then once again upon rising the morning after you have them done. They may be tender to the touch for a couple days. Please touch as little as possible during the entire healing time. And refrain from eye make up for at least 3 days. Remember, all make up harbors bacteria, this is an open area. You don't want to risk an infection. Please use your ice pack but wash it between uses as not to cross contaminate.
· Gently wash area 1-3 hours after procedure. Apply slight amount of ointment provided w/ new q-tip. Wipe off excess. Repeat process before bed 1st night and upon rising following day. Use ointment no more than 2 more times. Careful not to get in eye.
· First night at bedtime use sterile Celluvisic drops provided before going to sleep. This will keep eye lubricated during the night.
· Day 2, stop ointment and begin to use Lubriderm lotion approx 4 times in a 24-hour period for about 10 days. Apply w/ new q-tip each time, remove excess. Just moisturize, don't saturate.
· Please wash area 2 times in 24-hour period while healing.
· When not time to wash or apply lotion, please just leave it be. The less you bother it, the better it will heal. DO NOT Pick at skin flakes.
EYEBROWS: Your eyes should only be swollen for about 1-3 hours after procedure. Redness can be gone in an hour or linger for 24 hours, depending on your body.
Use ointment no more than 2-3 more times.
· Day 2, stop ointment and begin to use Lubriderm lotion approx 4 times in a 24-hour (about every 6 hrs) period for about 10 days.
Remember, as discussed in consultation. These pigments are designed to heal soft, transparent & natural looking. 95% of the time you will need a follow up visit to fine-tune thickness and darkness. During the first 3-5 days of having brows done, color will soften to ½ of original and eyeliner will look ½ of original thickness mostly due to decreased swelling but some pigment lightening too.
LIP PROCEEDURES: Lips are the most interesting healing of all Permanent Make Up procedures. They are extremely vascular & of course very soft. The lips will appear a lot darker color than what we mixed together and will be "pouty" when we finish. This swelling/discoloration should diminish in 2-8 hours. You will have expected color for about 3 days. Then, dead skin will begin to peel off lips like chapped lips. It will look like color has disappeared now. But what is actually happening is Lymph fluid comes into the lip to heal it. Color is "underneath" it. As Lymph fluid disperses, color re-emerges. This gradual process takes about 6 weeks to complete. You will probably want to add some color at this time.
· Gently wash area 1-3 hours after procedure. Apply slight amount of ointment provided w/ new q-tip. Wipe off excess. Repeat process before bed 1st night and upon rising following day. Use ointment after eating or drinking.
· Please use your ice pack but wash it between uses as not to cross contaminate. You don't want to risk an infection.
· Day 2, stop ointment and begin to use Lubriderm lotion or if not too sore a fragrance free lip balm as needed for nest 10 days - 2 weeks. Be sure no menthol is in your balm, it will burn.
· When you brush your teeth rinse well as toothpaste will bleach color. Refrain from bleaching trays for a few weeks.
